![]() ![]() ![]() When the credits rolled, I actually thought that the movie was really well made and that the book was really good too. Everything that was confusing about the book was suddenly very clear. Maybe it was because I had already read it or I don’t know why but I understood all that. Some scenes were really good in the movie and it explained all the history and Jesus part really well. So I watched the movie which was a bit slow in the start but still I wasn’t bored by it for even a moment. But then I thought of watching the movie – maybe that would clear things up. If you asked me yesterday I would probably have said that TDVC was Dan Brown’s least favourite book of mine. The next day I was still confused about those things and my opinion of the book. Then I took to Google which lead me to other sites for my answers which confused me even more. So checking those forums confused me about what was fact and what fiction in the book. (I know that isn’t the book’s fault) Then there’s this habit of mine of always checking forums like Reddit to know other people’s views whenever I finish a book or a movie. I mean about the grail and Jesus’s daughter etc. So when I read the book which is based on the controversial theory about Mary Magdalene being Jesus’s wife, I actually thought that all that was true and real. I’m not saying the novel is bad, its just that I was expecting a lot more from it and it left me quite confused in some parts.īut before saying why it confused me, I have to honestly admit that I know nothing about Christianity and Jesus. But when I finished reading it last night, I was a bit disappointed. People say that TDVC is the best novel of Dan Brown, so obviously I had high expectations from it. I just started reading Dan Brown’s novels about 3 months ago and so far I’ve read Digital Fortress, Angels and Demons, Deception Point and now The Da Vinci Code. ![]() So yesterday night I finished reading the The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and about 10 minutes ago, I finished watching the movie of the same which is directed by Ron Howard. It’s 4 am in the morning as I’m writing this but I knew I had to write this before I slept. ![]()
